environmental systems - efficiently designed - economically maintained
Working closely with the clients energy team BL developed a number of heat recovery projects which utilised a variety of hybrid heat pumps at the Cookstown facility
BL were then asked to provide an Air Source Heat Pump installation to provide the heating, cooling and ventilation for an extension to the factory. A bespoke air handler, package pump and tank set and an Aermec Model NRL air to water heat pump were selected to meet the design loads.
The Air to Water heat pump provided low temperature hot water for winter heating and chilled water for summer cooling. An air handler which included a mixing box, two stage filtration, crossflow heat exchanger with bypass, inverter type fans and a heating/cooling coil was utilised to provide the most energy efficient solution to the extensions heating, cooling and ventilation needs.
